Go Behind the Scenes: What Happens when Wedding Planners are the Party Guests

It’s no secret that wedding and event professionals can execute a flawless event. But every once in a while, event vendors get to attend a fabulous event with zero responsibility! Split Second Sound, the area’s premier DJ and entertainment company, has been throwing vendor appreciation parties for over a decade. August 19, 2022 was the 15th annual Vendor Appreciation Party, and it did not disappoint! Hosted at the Venues, the Pavilion was filled with vendors catching up and enjoying themselves before the flurry of wedding season begins!

The only objective of the Vendor Appreciation Party, is to dress up, socialize and have a ball. This year’s theme was NEON and Langtree was decked out. From brightly colored balloons, to light shows on the ceiling, Langtree was the perfect backdrop for a big splash of neon color.

The highlight of the evening was the silent disco, which had vendors dancing up a storm in a sea of neon!

Check out what a few party attendees had to say:

I always look forward to attending an event at The Venues of Langtree, either as an Officiant for a wedding, or enjoying being a guest.  The venue is so multi-faceted with the various sites you can use from the rustic barn to the elegant house or the modern hall, there is something for every type of celebration. My most recent visit there was attending the Split Second Sound Vendor Appreciation party, and Langtree did not disappoint.  From the flow of the check-in to to the dance floor and multiple photo booths – the entire evening was implemented flawlessly. It was truly a memorable night.  – Reverend Rebecca Nagy, Wedding Minister

Such a welcoming and fun atmosphere to enjoy a rare evening out with our industry favorites! Langtree really made it special and Split Second provided all the entertainment and music we’ve come to rely on at the vendor events! – Amy Kolodziej, Wedding Photographer

I think it’s safe to say that everyone’s favorite part was the Silent Disco. The Pavilion’s expansive dance floor space gave us the room we needed to show off our favorite moves. The Vendor party is always a blast, but I loved catching up with industry friends I haven’t seen since pre-pandemic. It was an awesome reunion and kick off to wedding season! – Jackie Fogartie, Wedding Planner
