Wedding Trends 2022: Memorable Activities and Experiences

With the post-covid wedding boom fully in motion, weddings are back and better than ever! Couples are focusing on unique experiences to not only have their wedding day reflect their personal hobbies and interests, but truly make their wedding a day to remember! Say goodbye to boring buffets and the chicken dance, these wedding experiences are taking it up a notch!

Wedding Weekends: Forget just the wedding day, full wedding weekends are becoming more and more popular! Couples are inviting their family and friends for a jam-packed schedule of festivities to celebrate their union. With transportation provided, guests are participating in local brewery crawls, boat rides and organized pickle ball games, all before the couple has even said I do! It’s a great way to show off your town and all it has to offer, and give guests a little insight into your life!

Live painting by Gina Strumpf

Live wedding painting: The wedding day goes by in a flash, so couples are bringing in a live painter to capture the important moments of the day. When hiring a live wedding painter, an artist will set up a canvas at the wedding venue and start painting. Typically, the painter will have worked with the couple to choose a key wedding moment to focus on.  The painting is done in real time and is usually finished by the end of the evening. Guests are able to watch the artist create their masterpiece live, and couples will cherish the painting in their home for a lifetime. It’s a win-win!

Cigar roller: If the groom loves his stogies, consider hiring a cigar roller. It’s built in entertainment to watch the cigars get rolled by hand! Pair it with a custom cigar label and cute matches, and you’ve got an instant favor.

Tipsy Traveler Mobile bar

Mobile Bar: Mobile bars are popping up everywhere. Whether it’s an adorable champagne truck at the entrance of a ceremony serving a pre-wedding glass of bubbly, or a truck with beer taps for all those hop heads you invited, a mobile bar is a functional yet unique addition to any event. Not to mention, they provide another bar for those thirsty guests and a cute photo op.

Photo Booth: Speaking of photo ops, the traditional photo booth has been around for a while and is still a big hit at any event.  That said, photo booths have gotten a big upgrade! From green screen technology, 360 booths and the ability to send photos directly to your social media accounts, the modern day photo booth is a great addition to any wedding reception!

Custom Food and Drink: Often times, couples aren’t getting married in the towns they are from, but still want to show a little hometown love! From Philadelphia? Have a cheesesteak station! Love wine country? Pair each dish with a different California wine. Think about what you love, and get creative through food and drink. Guests will be talking about it for years to come!

From food to art, weddings are getting more creative than ever. Can’t wait to see what trend comes next!
