Langtree Love Story: Annie and Alex Kramer

Annie & Alex at The Venues at Langtree celebrating their November, 2021 nuptuals

Sometimes childhood dreams DO come true! Growing up, Annie drove past the Venues at Langtree visiting nearby family. She pictured her wedding there from a young age, and on November 13, 2021, her wish came true!

Annie said, “Ever since was a little girl I had passed Langtree on the way to my aunt and uncle’s house (they live right down the road). When I pictured my wedding I always pictured it there. I toured other venues but Langtree remained iat the top of my mind.”

For this local couple, who met at Lake Norman Charter High School, The Venues at Langtree was the only choice!

Annie and Alex really embraced everything The Venues has to offer and utilized every square-inch of the property.

“We had our rehearsal dinner at the barn. It was magical with the twinkly lights and big doors to make it a great indoor-outdoor space. On the day of the wedding we had our bridal party get ready in the Mott House.  There was PLENTY of room for our huge bridal party of 22 and family members.

Then we were easily able to enter the outdoor ceremony behind the house. Following the ceremony, guests traveled only a few feet to the Boulder Room for a wonderful indoor-outdoor cocktail hour. The reception space was also in walking distance, and was large enough to host all 240 of our guests comfortably.”

Like any bride who is hoping to get married outdoors, Annie was checking the weather continuously for the weeks leading up to the big day. Knowing that Langtree’s beautiful barn was an easy rain plan helped ease Annie’s pre-wedding weather concerns. While most venues charge to reserve a tent in case of rain, Langtree’s barn is available at no additional cost! Luckily, Annie and Alex had a perfect fall day and were able to have the ceremony underneath the onsite Pergola.

With any wedding, convenience is key and Langtree definitely delivered! “After the reception the guests got a ride from the property on the Langtree Trolley to the two hotels less than a mile down the road! There was also tons of parking on the property. People raved about how convenient and easy it was to get from place to place.”

Annie and Alex’s favorite memory from the day was seeing each other for the first time and being with all of their family and friends. “It was a magical feeling that we can’t even put into words! For any future couples, you won’t regret booking Langtree!”
